We just sold our house!

Some of you might remember me saying that we'd decided to put our house on the market last Saturday. The board went up yesterday and we had a second viewing last night.
Today, we've sold our home for the asking price and we hadn't even got the photos sorted for our listing on the agent's website!!
I am so happy, I'm jumping for joy. Although I can't technically jump for joy due to back problems. I am jumping for joy in spirit!
I just thought it would be nice to share some positive news to spread some positive vibes. It's not all doom and gloom out there. :T

Congratulations!
Which part of the country are you in? I think it really does vary from region to region.0 -
We're based in the West Midlands. House prices haven't dropped at all here as they were never really massively inflated.
We're very lucky, I know. But on the other side of things - we're going back into rented and are having to start from scratch. So it's not all good news. But at least we'll be close to family and have a better lifestyle.
And with my health issues, that's the most important thing! Woop woop!

I'm sorry, but I'm going to dampen the celebration.
Until exchange, you are better off keeping calm and not having too great an expectation.
As to West Mids, here in Stafford prices are around 7% down on October 2006 and some types of property are not selling unless they can afford to take a larger drop on their asking price.I am a mortgage broker. Thanks quintwins. It's very fast isn't it!
Woohoo!
And thanks Kingstreet. But it's in the bag. I'm pretty darn sure of that. I'm so happy that it's all worked out! :j0 -

Buyer has obviously never heard of MSE. Or the Vendor has under-priced.

Hope it goes through ok. But be prepared for last minute wobbles if some bad economic news is spotted by the buyer.Act in haste, repent at leisure.

Congratulations! (Don't let the doom merchants get you down!) From what I've seen around here (in Wiltshire) there are people actively looking for houses and relatively little choice, so if you are lucky and there is someone out there looking for a house like yours, they are going quickly. Fingers crossed that it goes smoothly from here on!0

Thanks for the advice. We're actually in a very lucky position in that the buyer has cash and no mortgage.. And the person on her home is also buying with no mortgage.
They want us out super fast as they desperately need a home.
Under-valued? Not at all. We've been keeping an eye on property prices forever and next door's sold last year for slightly more and the difference is they've got a larger conservatory and nicer windows with a bigger garden.
I know you read those 'too good to be true' stories. But the fact is, our house is darn lovely, we were very lucky to find someone right away who was in need of a home and they're a dream buyer in every regard.

Thanks so much! Really appreciate it. And I don't! Haha! There's always a reasoning behind negativity.
We're really happy and are 110 percent sure this is it. We're getting everything drawn up now. Can't believe how lucky we've been after such a difficult few years!
