Thanks 'GM'. I am trying not to get my hopes up too much as I know that buying a repossession is complicated and it is out of my hands if someone gazumps me.
I will be doing everything I can to exchange as quick as possible!!!
Thanks for the feedback 'Split Second'
I decided to go with Nottingham Building Society in the end because some people say Santander are slower and although Nationwide seem to be quick, it sounds like they often downvalue property.
I would be ok if there was a reasonable retention as long as they still make me a mortgage offer. Heres hoping it all goes well!!!0 -
Just a quick update, 37 days after having our offer accepted we have now exchanged contracts and will be completing next thursday.
If anyone is interested our mortgage application was with The Nottingham Building Society who were very efficient and got the offer to us in under 3 weeks following application0
