The Insurance minefield or how to lose business.
I have several cars. Just got the renewal for one of them. Renault Clio Auto, T Reg. Renewal for 3PFT is £155. Budget Insurance.
So I thought I'd do an online check for Fully comp for same vehicle.
On Gocompare, best deal is ...............Budget at £151. ??????
5 more insurers, fully comp quoting £155
On Moneysupermarket.com, best deal £180
So I ring Budget to inform them I will not be renewing. Why? they ask.
I tell them I can get it cheaper online with your company. The post pubescent oik checks and tells me he cant find the quote even after I give him the online ref no, best he can find is £160 do I want that? No way says I, the oik gets fed up and asks if I want to stop my renewal then, and I say "sure, I'll just get it with you online" "Oh you wont be able to do that as an existing customer" says the oik, it will block you.
My renewal isnt due untill Mid April and I will now do it via Gocompare and use the Ibuyeco Insurance which donates £5 to the woodlands trust, Cost to me will be £155.
