Just received an email from "Inland Revenue".
It starts Dear Taxpayer and continues that I am entitled to a rebate of £238; except that there is a small blank box where the £ sign should be!
Watch out people!

Yeah, HMRC regularly point out that they don't send emails advising people of tax rebates. Plus anything legit that comes to you will have your name, not 'Taxpayer'. I like the mails that say "500 POUNDS STERLING" or "763 BRITISH POUNDS". That's just not how we do it here, and it screams "this mail is not from the UK!""Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0
