Probably the worst act of animal cruelty I ever heard of

Please don't follow link if easily distressed- and I thought I was fairly tough but this had me in tears this morning. There is an important message to come out of all this, and I know I am probably preaching to the converted, but please be SO careful when rehoming a pet. Follow up, see where it's going and so on. I can't imagine what the horse owners in the first story who found out what became of their loved pets are going through. And as for the second story further down about the dogs- this sadist has no value to society and is the best argument I have ever seen for the death penalty. I had to share with people who might feel the same way- most people in my office are not as animal crazy as me and can't understand why I'm sitting around looking shell shocked.
