Home contents insurance. Help needed

Options
Home contents insurance.
My son and two of his friends are moving into a rented flat in London. I looked at some insurance companies and was unable to get a quote due to his sharing. What is the best way to get around this problem and any advice on companies that do this type of insurance?

Unfortunately the only times that normal insurers will touch this type of risk is when his room(s) have a lockable door and all his items are in there and not in any of the communal areas like lounge/ kitchen etc.

Your best bet is to look at insurers who target students as these are the most common people that live in shared accomodation

I had a nasty feeling that this will be the solution. Thanks for your help.
