Mobile Phone Manuals Urghhhhhh!

I think I'll start a campaign for plain and concise phone manuals. I bought a new mobile last week and what they tell you in the manuals is very basic. It really only tells you how to make and receive calls. I have been trying to download my email contacts from my PC to my phone and there is nothing in the manual about how to do this. There are lot of little "quirks" that you discover as you go along, but manufacturers should realise that we are all not "mobile savvy" and produce either a proper manual with all the options, or have an online guide. You almost need a degree to work out these new mobiles:eek:

What sort of phone is it? Most new phones I've had in the last year have had the full instruction manual saved to the phone on the SD card whilst having limited information on the paper instructions inside the box.

It's a Samsung C3300K, and there's only my SIM card in it and the manual (sic) in the box.

Yes I would have a scan through the menus on the phone for 'user guide' or 'user support'. My Xperia has a little icon for that on one of the menu screens. There is also a section under 'settings' and 'about phone' which is called 'system tutorial'. Basically these days like Forwandert says, the manuals are digital and presaved on the phone.
