Wrong Item Sent

Hi all,
I recently made an online purchase for two mugs but they delivered two bowls to me instead. I checked the online order confirmation and the invoice that came with the delivery and both state I ordered two mugs.
Obviously will contact the company tomorrow to try and sort this out but I ordered the items as a present for Mother's day and am worried now that they will only send me out the mugs once I've returned the bowls and there is now not enough time for me to get the mugs returned.
Not sure what my rights are as obviously need to get the mugs by Saturday but don't want to end up having to place another order (and pay more money that I don't have at the moment!) if the bowls won't arrive back in time.
Also, the returns procedure states that I would have to cover the cost for returning the goods but I'm presuming because it was their error in sending the wrong product out that they will reimburse me for the cost?

They are wrong. If the return on an item is because of an error caused by the company then they have to cover the costs of postage.
If you wanted a refund and wanted to try and get a present elsewhere. They're also obliged to refund your postage, if you paid any for the items.I try to help as much as I can. But I'm also honest and speak my mind.

Thanks for the advice. I phoned them up and they said they would send the right items and collect the bowls the next day so I didn't need to do anything apart from answer the door. Great customer service! Was very impressed by them0
