Overcharged

I am not complaining as such but not sure which board to place this!.

Went to Next today. It just about to close, bought four items they put through one item twice and its £30.00 - am gutted. They put my receipt in the bag and by the time I looked whilst walking up the road, the store was shut.

Anyone know whether I can do anything about it. Was hoping CCTV would confirm I bought just the one!

Take it back first thing in the morning and state the facts.

Get in touch with the store tomorrow and explain what has happened and see what they say - they should be able to tally up their stock records and see that you are telling the truth. If they drag their heels tell them to check CCTV and they will see you only bought one, or speak to their Head Office and see if they can do anything. Failing that speak to your card issuer and start a chargeback!

Did you not realise that the amount was more than you had expected?

I bought it on my Next card. I thought she put everything in twice she had trouble with the machine, however, if she had charged me twice it would have been 200 and something but it was 100 and something so all i was thinking was she hadnt scanned everything twice. I am going to go there in the morning and tell them what happened. I have called their number and the lady said they will sort it out but i must take the lot back, w hich I think is fair enough.
