Please help, all advice welcome,
I have been receiving sms messages from this company to call them and quote a ref number, which i ignored. I then received a letter on Saturday the same as all the other fishing templates every one else have received, However I had not read anything about them up untill yesterday and i foolishly called them.
It was in regards to a defalted credit card I had overlooked in 2007. They made me pay £60 on the day off of a £567 debt and are making me pay £30 instalments per week, which I really cannot afford.
Am I now obliged to continue to pay the £30 instalments or can i refuse?:(

Also I have just checked my credit file and there have been recent searches by Northway Broker (CVAL) and Vanquis Bank NC, for money laundering purposes, I have no idea who they are or why they have been searching my file as I have not applied to either of them for credit. Any Ideas on why they would search my file and why for money laundering purposes? Also there are other items on my file that have been defaulted that I do not recognise and were not used by me? How do I get those Items rectified. Sorry for the rambling - I am new to all of this. Many thanks in advance.

By contacting them and making a payment you have admitted liability for the debit, however if you cannot afford the excessive repayments write to them and tell them you can afford to pay X amount each week.

They will no doubt say that the amount offered is unacceptable , but its just tactics & they would rather have something than nothing at all . Also arrange to pay by standing order NOT DD .


Finally insist that all communication is made in writing.:)
