Thursday was a spend day (picked up the paper I was told there was an article on the running club - and it's not there  - so I also picked up a couple of bits of groceries as I needed bread and was coming up to needing milk)

But yesterday (Friday) was NSD #11 :T

Only one more of the little blighters to catch in the next 8 days (including today), but it's looking iffy that I'll catch one this weekend.

Desperately need some bits for the garden (canes for fruit bushes for starters as they're starting to 'droop', then more large flower buckets for the last of my potatoes, and I need to see if I can find something to use on my gooseberry bush as the sawfly that attacked it last year is back ) and it might be worth checking Whoopsies today given the store is shut tomorrow (so extra produce to be cleared out).

And I'm planning to go to DD's tomorrow to deliver chocolate treats (and doing my long run while I'm up there, as it means I can try out part of the half-marathon course), but if I see one of the cheaper filling stations open while I'm out and about I'll be getting some liquid gold. If not, then I'll have to do that one day next week else I won't make it to the fund-raising run I'm planning on taking part in next weekend.

  • Morning,

I am having a spending nightmare, only done 4/10!

I have decided to count the days I have driving lessons as NSDs as although I am handing over cash on the day it is an unavoidable spend and it means it is too late to go to the shops after work

actually it might 5/10.......monday in work, Tuesday in work plus shopping,Wednesday driving lesson and in work then lunch with friends. THursday I stayed home am sure I did.........yesterday and today will be spendy. Tomorrow no, Monday no in Theory.

nope it is 4/10 cos I had lunch on Wed.

not looking good for my totals!

    have a good day folks

    Good morning all!

#16 notched up yesterday. I didnt go across the door, in fact after OH left for work, I went back to bed and had a VERY long lie (until 12 oclock!) Cant remember the last time I did that! I must have needed it as I slept for 3 hours!
Sadly no NSD today as we've just been to the garden centre and bought some lovely plants plus compost, soil and chipped bark. We have a little project in the pipeline!
A part of the garden was really hit hard with the bad winter weather, so we are revamping it!
I just wish the weather would pick up here so we can get on with it!

Well, I've been out and picked up a few bits for the garden - and a french stick for lunch.

Nothing doing in the Whoopsies yet, and won't be able to check them out later as I got a phone call just before 10am asking me to cover the 4-8pm close and clean shift due to someone being off sick..... cue a mad panic ironing my uniform in the hope that will dry it off enough for wearing. But I'm going to have to wear trousers that are a size too big, as my normal ones were in the washer when I got the call :o

Hya all, claiming today as NSD no 14 today, getting closer!!! Just realized that I had set a target of 16 for this month (thought it was 18 :o), so very nearly there!:j

Decided i'M not going out into the garden until later on in the day as it is too hot out there (26 in the shade atm!). So been catching up with bits and pieces inside.

Apologies to all those folk having rubbish weather...you must be fed up hearing about the heat-wave the rest of the country is having...sorry!! :o

Made a big batch of humous this morning, having some over the weekend and have frozen the rest. Also turned various bread heels into breadcrumbs and froze them...great for covering fish for HM fish & chips, as well as adding to HM burgers or meatballs to make the meat go further. :money:

Now I'm sorting out all my flower seeds, both in my database as well as putting the packets into old wallets that were used for floppy disks. They were due to be thrown out at work, so I am re-homing them!! I did my veg & herb seeds yesterday, all in one lever-arch folder now...much better than in the 4 ice-cream tubs I had them in!! Also they are now in alphabetical order, so much easier to see what I have got!! :D

I still have a few wallets left, so might use them for my metallic cross-stitch threads, which don't like being wound round the cardboard bobbins I use.

    Have a great weekend all.
