Avoiding the shops in April - The NSD Challenge

Hi everyone,
Thank goodness it is at the early part of the month and I can get my remaining 8 NSD'S cos yours truly has been a naughty spending Girl who has gone mad since she got her hands on her 50th Birthday Present a beautiful Iphone 3GS which solves my Smartphone problemns meaning I can be functional and organise my life in a viable way Smartphone wise.
This has meant I have spend a whopping £40+ on Apps plus other bits and bots including massive Tesco Trip which thankfully was a successful transaction as there have been occasions when I have had to dump entire trolleys of shopping as the Bank would not allow payment.:eek:
Also I haven't decided on what to give myself as a Birthday Present which probably isn't helping things.
Plus I had a trip to London a regular event as I have Family there which cost money.
I had to keep reminding myself to be myself and get to know MSE and adopt whatever forms of money saving there was in accordance with my lifestyle needs which are proudly middle class in a working class/underclass Environment and tell myself rightly that it all helps me self preserve. I found out there are working class people who take enormous pride in eating healthily for instance ( I think Jane grigson in her book 'English Food') so it makes good food not necessarily a class bound thing.
I also like to dress nicely, no drab colourless clothes that don't function like the characters in Dotsoevsky novels which for their portrayal of poverty are profoundly depressing.
Books are key, culture is key.
Anyways I really overspent on march and hopefully this month I can be real, get financial goals on track ie pay for feet appointment, Scotland plans, flat, as feet are overdue and they are not looking sexy as they should. I need to get back to how I was when Mummy was helping me keep on track financially, feet, hair cut and colour and get flat so a man would want me!!!!:A#TY[/B] Would be Qaulity MSE Challenge Queen.
Reading whatever books I want to the rescue!:money::beer[/B

NB I practice fuel poverty but like to keep warm for health reasons. My teeth react if I am in a too cold an environment. I don't buy clothes, books, apps, academic texts, literary Literature, computer stuff every week and so I tend to make time periods when I go clothes mad like I plan this Summer as there are some really nice dresses to buy so I get all femmine like the High Society ladies and crack out of the casual prison that is the delightful place where I live.
I just have to learn to budget in a way that is totally honest but means that those little swearwords dont get their mits on my lovely money as they don't deserve it as much as they claim they do.#TY[/B] Would be Qaulity MSE Challenge Queen.

So a big welcome to:
ebayqueen – it’s never too late to start!! I’ve signed you up for 14, & well done for getting 6 already!! :j:j
Lots of NSDs rolling in today, so well done to:
:j:j jintyb – well done for number 8!! Hope you enjoyed your late start & all went well at the hospital?
:j:j thrifty fifty – well done for number 6!! Are you sure you can’t casserole the spider?? Rubber spider stew anyone??? :rotfl:
Hmmm do you know I hadn't considered that. He was a bit small though, so perhaps he would have made a better garnish. Heston Blumenthal could get ideas from us!!
No NSD yesterday or today I'm afraid. Tried to be all money savey, well more because I'm skint, and make nephew cookies for his birthday. The recipe I chose was rubbish, the dry ingredients far outweighed the one egg they said to use, so I added another, and another, and ended up with cake circles. So have to go out and buy choccies and a cake today. Not good

Hi All, NSD 5 for me yesterday0

Woo-hoo, managed to snaffle NSD no 8 yesterday, so I am half way to target now! :j
Didn't think I'd make it, but I sneaked in some powered milk into the nearly half-full 4-pints bottle, thus adding an extra pint....and no-one noticed! This could be a good ploy again when supplies get low
!
Felt not great yesterday, not convinced this tooth infection has fully cleared up, but also still have the pain of the extraction, so no sure. I have the hygenist next week, so she can check things over then.
Definitely a spendy day today ... food supplies and DS1 needs trainers too, so hitting the shops this afternoon. Still, hope to grab NSDs tomorrow and over the weekend...that'll do the NSD total the world of good.
Have a great day all.....a bit grey and cool today, but dry so far.
