http://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/buying-services/how-to-cancel-a-contract/your-rights/Under the Consumer Credit Directive, which came into force on 1 February 2011, consumers now have 14 days to cancel a credit agreement. The legislation applies to all credit agreements, whether made in person or over the phone, under changes to the Consumer Credit Act 1974.Best Regards

it isn't a right to cancel - it is a right to withdraw. It is different. If you look at the CCA you'll see that cancellation rights apply in some situations, and a right to withdraw applies in others. The time frames are different, (5=@ and 14 days).
If there is a right to withdraw, then any related contracts for the supply of goods or services are not also cancelled. There might also be costs incurred. This is all new stuff that has changed recently. It is wrong to refer to cancellation when you actually mean withdrawal as there are two different provisions under the CCA.
The relevant law is the CANCELLATION OF CONTRACTS MADE IN A CONSUMER’S HOME OR PLACE OF WORK ETC. REGULATIONS 2008 - see http://www.pkc.gov.uk/NR/rdonlyres/9D37DB44-A032-4F78-8B01-48F57B1511B4/0/CANCELLATIONOFCONTRACTSMADEINACONSUMER.pdf for a summary.0 -
So from what I have read my only options is to withdraw claiming that seller has failed to supply the goods in a reasonable time0

Effectively, yes. But to pin this down securely, you need to write, giving them 21 days or some 'reasonable' time limit to comply and do the work, therwise you will rescind due to their non performance. Keep copies and proof of posting.slimfastshady wrote: »So from what I have read my only options is to withdraw claiming that seller has failed to supply the goods in a reasonable timeHi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
