Advice on hutch covers

Evening all!
Just looking for a bit of advice regarding hutch covers, we have a two tiered hutch and I was looking at hutch covers in Pets at Home but they seemed to cost quite a bit. Piggies aren't actually outside yet (too cold!) but I just want to be prepared for when they do. Can anyone recommend good, fairly inexpensive covers to buy? Many thanks in advance!

It's been years since I had a rabbit or guinea pigs but I used to just use a big clear tarpaulin that was weighed down on the roof and on the ground with a couple of bricks. It meant they could still see out and they were protected from the elements.Debt: Started at £4780, now at £4190

Just what I was going to suggest. you can get a 3m x 2m tarp from whickes for about £7. If its still a bit chilly you can put a fleece under the tarp to keep out the draughts. I wouldn't worry about them not being able to see out at night cos if there are cats around it will stop them seeing it and getting spooked.0

Thanks for the replies. Think i'll have a trip to the shops next few days and get some tarp, seems pretty cheap and cheerful!0

I use a tarp on my rabbits hutch, then in the very severe weather I used a shower curtain to cover the front (exposed) part of their hutch. They still go and sit in their exposed run though *rolls eyes*0
