help needed with refund from air france

Basically i purchased flights with air france back in october 2009, at the time they requested the money twice from my account so it was showing that it was due to come out but not cleared. i rung the bank and they requested i ring air france for an authorization number. after spending most of the day on the phone to the bank and air france i was told by air france that they would guarantee me that it would not clear twice from my account, as this was only 2 days before we were going on holiday all the exitment of meeting mickey mouse made me forget about it.:rotfl:
Then while checking back on my statments on the weekend i realised that it did infact come out of my account twice:mad:. i rung my bank who said they would dispute the transaction but they have now let me know that it is to late for them to deal with it so i have to contact air france. i rung this evening but no-one could help me so i have to ring back in the morning so i would just like to know where i stand before speaking to some-one.
thanks in advance.

Well, the good news is that (I believe) you have 6 years to chase this. You have the statement to prove it, so give them a call and see what they say. I doubt it will be sorted over the phone as it's 18 months ago, so they'll probably need some time to look into it. But you've waited this long, so a little longer won't matter :)

How do you mean "no one could help you"?
One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.
