Guys, please help and give me some reassurance
2 weeks ago myself and hubby and 5 year old son went to a lovely restaurant for a birthday dinner. After a couple of drinks we decided to get a taxi home. We parked in Brantana/ pets at home car park, just before 7 at night. As both shops were closed we didnt think it was a problem!
We picked up the car next morning and all was good.
yes you have guessed yesterday we received a £70 fine letter from the good old TPS. Please tell me if we have to just pay it. they even have pictures of our car going into the car park and driving away! is this right and can they do it? we thought we were doing the right thing getting a taxi, obviously not now!
Please help!:j

Just ignore it, and any subsequent letters
One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0 -
For a start off this is not a "fine", it's an invoice you don't have to pay. do not write to them and ignore all correspondence from them. For further reassuarnce please read all the other threads on here that deal with private parking tickets. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

I wonder what the total loss was for Brantana/ pets at home for your vehicle being paid in the car-park when both shops were closed...
...ah yes, £0.
Pictures are probably low-res pictures from an ANPR camera

Thanks for your advice guys. My husband reminded me last night the car was parked in the bratana shoe parking bays and this shop is actually closed down anyway. In addition to that there are approx 500 more parking spaces at the back of where we parked for tesco car park.trisontana wrote: »For a start off this is not a "fine", it's an invoice you don't have to pay. do not write to them and ignore all correspondence from them. I feel assured now, thanks to you all for replying!
