If he cant prove how much he has lost out it will be difficult for him to claim against however many he is claiming against
Agreed. That does not condone the damage though, does it.Under no circumstances may any part of my postings be used, quoted, repeated, transferred or published by any third party in ANY medium outside of this website without express written permission. Thank you.0 -
James - utter rubbish
I have not condoned vandalism or criminal damage. Nor have I suggested that she should "get away with it" as you wrongly suggest. I have come on here asking where she stands with regards to offering to have the carpets professionally cleaned and the landlord refusing this and wanting to retain the bond (for all of the housemates I might add, not just my daughter, its the whole house he is referring to, not just her room).
I have in no way intimated that my daughter is lazy, idol, careless, or anything else, yet you have!!. I have neither intimated that she is running to me to bail her out, that she is carefree about what has happened or that I am bailing her out, yet you have!!
You seem to be making this up as you go along.
I have merely asked for advice on where she stands with regards to offering to have the carpets professionally cleaned (along with her flatmates, as it is the whole of the house that the landlord is referring to). They are all happy to pay for the professional clean, but I have already said this, if you were able to read my posts properly then you would know this.
Anyway, I wont fuel your fire with any more replies, because you obviously have a bee in your bonnet about this. Quite frankly, I dont care, but I do care about you making incorrect assumptions about my daughter.0 -
I'd never have white carpets - I want to relax at home, not stress....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

Paul112: the very first thing you must establish is whether their deposits were lodged with one of the three deposit-protection schemes. Then, either way whether there was a full inventory done with at the start of the tenancy.
Everything hangs on those two questions.0 -
"Landlord refusing to return Bond?"

How could Bond be so stupid?! I give him 00 status and he celebrates by shooting up an embassy! Is the man deranged? And where the hell is he? In the old days, if an agent did something that embarassing, he'd have the good sense to defect. Christ, I miss the Cold War!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
