Tesco £50 TV exchange

Does anyone know anything about the £50 trade in for any TV with a screen? Saw it in Tesco Extra today but cannot find anything about it on the forums.

Hi Yes we bought a 40 inch UCM tv a couple of weeks ago at our local extra store and with the £50 trade in we got it for £299 we took an old battered portable tv that the kids had about 20 years ago lol only thing was we'd forgot the remote that went with the old tv and they wouldnt accept it without so had to go back hiome to get it then there was no probs, delighted with the new tv no probs at all :j

It was in the Daily Mail on Saturday. 32" Technika. £50 off for you old telly. Normally £249, with trade in £199. No posters in store though. Had to ask about it.
The 40" UMC has been on for a while. £349 down to £299 if I remember rightly.

wasnt when we bought it might have come down now but it was definitely £349
