Im not going to mention the name of the company, But for the purpose of this complaint, we will call them Barclaycard, my Visa bill which i pay of in full every month came to £1500, and Barclaycard took the money twice, which has caused me to go overdrawn in my current account, is there a course of action to refund charges and losses for this gross incompetence by Barclaycard.:mad::mad::mad:

Did they take 2 seperate direct debit payments?
If so, then just a quick call to them should mean the money to you is refunded. Then if you write to them explain what happened and send in proof you have been charged by your bank for exceeding your overdraft they should re-imburse you for the charges.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Why don't you talk to your bank about the DD guarantee. I think you have rights and your bank has to pay it back.0

I wonder how much they would have charged me, if i had gone over my limit by £15000

If there were both DD payments then its likely they would have bounced the second DD if it was going to take you over by such a large amount.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

Yes. YOUR bank should refund the money into your account immediately under the DD guarantee terms. Do not be fobbed off! You should not be out of pocket even for 48 hours. We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.
