For some reason I have 2 pages in view (side by side) when working in the print layout view instead of the normal "full" width page. I may have checked a box or something at sometime but cannot recall when or what.
How do I get back to a single page in view? It is Word 2000 if that assists.
Many thanks.

In View, you want Normal. You'll always miss 100% of the shots you don't take - Wayne Gretzky
Any advice that you receive from me is worth exactly what you paid for it. Not a penny more or a penny less.0 -

Did you click the Read button? In word 2003 it is an open book with "read" next to it. You will know if you've done this becasue it also inserts Screen x of x at the top of each page.
The word "read" next to the open book also changes to "close".0 -

I never use normal as I do not like it. I always use print view to work in. Until the last week or so have just had the single page in view in print view. But now I get two side by side pages. That is what I want to change back to a single page in print view.
Thanks anyway.0 -

I do not think that this is it as I have not got any open book icons or similar on my display.

Set zoom to 100%.
This will sort it.

Ah, in which case, click on Print Preview (a document on the toolbar with a magnifying glass).
Along the top, you should have the option to display one page or multiple pages........select one page. You'll always miss 100% of the shots you don't take - Wayne Gretzky
