MBNA Credit card over 10 years old.....

Does anyone have any legal advice for me - I have an MBNA credit card which is over 10 years old?Taken out in 2000......I have £5,000 on it and am only scraping through with payments of £130 every month since - as you can imagine, I havent used it for years - they have said I can offer them £1,500 to clear it but this isnt easy to save up for!
Can they still chase me for this debt when its over 10 years old at this monthly rate??
I dont have lots of loans and only have one more card on top of this so not massively in debt but finding it hard to obtain more credit. Thanks!

You'll find it even harder to get more credit if you default on the card or go for a partial settlement. Unless they are agreeing not to leave any sort of negative marker on your file. Are you already on an arrangement to pay?

The timescale you've taken to pay back the debt doesn't make it any less enforceable.
