How Do I Approach This?

Hi everyone,
Not sure if this is in the right section, basically I have a wireless broadband kit and contract from Wanadoo (who changed to Orange half way through my contract). From the start they have been nothing but trouble - I must have spent hundreds phoning their technical helplines at £1 a minute.
My wireless connection consists of a 'livebox' downstairs and an adaptor connected to my laptop upstairs. A while ago this plastic adaptor 'melted' and contorted into strange shapes - I can see inside the micro chips and stuff!
I phoned them up then they proceed to send me an adaptor suited to the Orange livebox, despite me telling them I was a Wanadoo customer. So surprise surprise that doesnt work either.
I found an adaptor from previously they had mistakenly sent out two so I am using that at the moment, but unless I sit deadly still with my laptop, it cuts off- the tiniest movement cuts the connection.
I am sick to the back teeth of Wanadoo and their customer service - agents in foreign call centres who read from a script - I am about 5 months away from the end of my contract - what can I do about this?
I just want internet that works with no hassle!
Thanks all.

It should easily work from downstairs to upstairs so you may be getting interference from another device nearby or even in your own home if you have a video sender or wireless phone. Try logging into the Livebox and change the wireless channel to one several channels away. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
