Only in NI would planning permission on a shopping development be refused on the basis of killing a town centre, whilst parking charges were stared in said town (city) centre. John Lewis/Lisburn.
I'm sure there's one about parades, and flags. And Iris Robinson. And Daniel O'Donnell.

Only in Northern Ireland do they have 20 Odd Councils, 200 Odd MLA's, 4 or 5 health trusts, 4 or 5 education boards etc etc etc to govern/fulfil the needs of a population the size of an average GB City where they probably have about 20 Councillors never mind 20 Councils. Only in Northern Ireland could we remember our ship building history
by naming an area after the one that sunk.
    (Titanic Area ).
Always struck me as incredibly odd!
