Only in NI would planning permission on a shopping development be refused on the basis of killing a town centre, whilst parking charges were stared in said town (city) centre. John Lewis/Lisburn.

Only in Northern Ireland do they have 20 Odd Councils, 200 Odd MLA's, 4 or 5 health trusts, 4 or 5 education boards etc etc etc to govern/fulfil the needs of a population the size of an average GB City where they probably have about 20 Councillors never mind 20 Councils.
