Help with a wireless printer please

Im buying a wireless printer in the next day or two and want to make sure im getting the right thing. First off am i right in thinking i can put the printer in an upstairs room and use my laptop to print off emails and pictures? Second question, can i print off an iphone with such a printer?
Thanks in advance.

  • Yes you can print to a printer upstairs if you are downstairs. Wireless printers are ideal for that.

Regarding an iPhone, I'm not sure. I have an Android phone and can do it with a 3rd party application, PrinterShare. I believe this is available for iPhone too (it cost me little more than a fiver but it works well).

Sods law states that when you want to use the printer it will be switched off, out of paper, or in need of a new cartridge!!

Or it has bog roll standard recycled photocopier paper in when you have just printed 10 very high quality photos, and you just realised you wasted all that ink
