Grant for new gas central heating
I couldn't find any information online about this in any of the grant databases etc, but after having contacted Wales and West utilities to reconnect my house with gas I had a leaflet along with their quote.
Along with the Fuel Poverty grant which is income assessed/benefits based, they (Integrated Energy Services) offered up to £2500 towards a new gas boiler installation.
Apparently this is via NPower and the CERT scheme and it's not income based. With a 3 bed they are sending vouchers for £1680 or so towards installation of a new boiler, the catch being that it has to be Npower installers.
I haven't got a quote yet from NPower, so it could be more than what my local plumber is quoting, but could be worth it. Anyone have any experience of NPower installs? I assume the quotes are similar British Gas style +£1000
Could be handy as the Warm Front scheme is temporarily closed
