New VW Polo - Free Insurance
Evening,
I've just ordered my wife a new Polo. She was wanting a new car and we liked the look of the Polo and there is a very good deal on them right now. We got free insurance for a year and free servicing for 3 years.
My question is regarding the free insurance. Would we only be able to have 1 name on the free policy? Obviously my wife will be the main driver, but I will drive it now and again. I called the dealership to ask (didn't think about this until after we had left and paid!) and they gave me a number to VW, I called them and the guy on the phone didn't know, and gave me an e-mail contact to write to. I've done this, but still not heard anything!
I have my own car with fully comp insurance which does allow me to drive other cars, but only with third party cover. This isn't enough cover if I'm driving a brand new car about!
Anybody able to shed any light and sorry for the long post!
Cheers!

I've just printed it out for a read, would have been useful info for the garage to give to us, but nevermind!
I'm sure she will enjoy her new Polo thanks, I always had them down as being "old women cars" but after the test drive on Saturday I've changed my mind!!

Aye they're really nice! Like a mini golf, to get the decent engines (the TSI 85/105) you gotta step the price tag up a bit which is a shame!0 -

She's gone for the 1.4SE Model. She only uses it for driving short distances and to the shops! It will be grand for her. I was impressed with the spec, its a nice, tidy car.0 -
