Sorry, you obviously know what you are talking about but do we?

You will have to give more information about the screen that you are using i.e. make/model.

  • Haven't got a clue apart from the fact its a time one? I've got most of the settings back to what they were by altering it in the display settings.

Reading between the lines I'd say you have the monitor frequency set too low. But as those above have said, you need to give us something to go on.......

  • I had a look at the frequency and it says that its 60 - the normal rate - however since looking at that - its says monitor is working fine I now have a black stripe down the right hand side and the picture is over to the left - can't see any flickering now though!

The screen doesn't fill the monitor? Theres a wide balck stripe down the rh side, and a narrow black stripe at the top and bottom, cannot seem to do any thing about it in the display settings, thanks for any help!
  • Not to worry - have sorted it now - thanks!

Sounds like you've messed up your display settings. Go to control panel>display>settings and select the resolution you normally use then apply them. Any further adjustments can be made using the monitor buttons (at least that's how I go about it with my crt monitor, I'm assuming LCD's are the same).
