Carpet Cleaning

Hello!
I'm wondering if someone can help. I have a minature poodle who went through a phase of weeing on the living room carpet in the middle of the night. It would seem that this problem has stopped however we've been left with stains on the carpet. We're going to hire a Rug Doctor to clean all the carpets in the house, but wondered if there was something I can add to the machine, that would add a sort of scent to the carpets to deter her from weeing on them in the future?
There is a detergent from Rug Doctor that is specifically for urine smells but I don't actually know whether it works and like all things, they want to make as much monet as possible, whether the product works!
Thanks in advance!!

HI
I used a product called Urine Off for my cats urine stains. I think they have various products worth looking at for different materials.
Or you can try Simple Solution - also good with pet urine stains.DFD February 2012

we have a Vax branded carpet shampoo machine. That took a few dog wee stains off our carpet. The liquid for it was about £17 for a 1.5L bottle but it did the trick. The vax shampoo'ers are in Homebase for about £100. We do the carpets every 6 months or so as our labrador has a habit of getting pine cones from the garden and making a nice mess inside with them.0

Try HSS Hire

They charge from £26 a day to hire a Carpet Cleaner and do the Shampoo as well. I do my carpets once a year.0 -
We have hired the rug doctor twice in the last 15 months 2 puppies and have been very impressed, The urine spray is for use as a spot application after a accident we now have daughters puppy visit and have used it on the odd accident and he has not gone back to the same spot. One word of warning not sure why same carpet through out bottom of the house but for a few days one carpet in the hall did have a musty smell for a couple of days and we did panic and think gonna have to get anew carpet:eek: but it did go not sure why .0
