  • I'd never heard of this before but it's a great idea and something I'll be trying from now on. Thanks for posting. :D

Well, I'm the person who the MSE News is talking about. Thank you Martin for making then issue clear and thanks for making this a feature for all to see, rather than keeping it quiet for the 'exclusive few' who were worried it wouldn't be received too well by the stores.
I can also confirm Asda and myself are talking about this in more detail and how to take it to a wider audience rather than JUST those who subscribe to MSE.

Nice way or earning a bob or to but be careful if your rooting about in bins for receits. there are a lot of junky's round here who bang up in the toilets and chuck their works in the bin out side.

I have been doing some wombleing in the past. When supermarkets do the spend £50 get 5p a litre of petrol promos, always find a voucher left in the trolleys.
  • Well lets face it, it would be rude not to. I've done a bit of Wombleing in the past & have enjoyed the recent Tesco promotion so much :j

If your doing this for charity that's just great in my books, well done :A

Just emailed ASDA about this story cos in early march OH goes into asda with his APG voucher and was told outright he couldnt use his APG voucher cos he was seen looking around the trollies outside the store and that this was against the rules!!!

originally we just left it and not gone into ASDA again... but I was heaving after reading the article so have emailed them about it.. so p... off.
  • I just did 2 of my own recent old receipts last night and just earnt 80p and £1.94. I also found 20p instore earlier today and got 40p back as a DTD so it's been a good day. :D
  • Why not print off two ASDA vouchers and use one at Tesco also? Double Whammy?

Tesco might like to act like they are doing people a favour but in truth they are the UK eqivilent to Walmart in the US, and will do anything for a profit.

What just like any business? All businesses are there to make a bigger profit as possible. Including ASDA! which is owned by Walmart.

I'm not saying companies shouldn't make a profit but in the US Walmart do have a reputation for really screwing their staff over when it comes to employee rights etc.
Here's a bit of info on Walmart http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Criticism_of_Wal-Mart

Similar to the way some McD's used to send staff on break as soon as it got quiet so that they didn't have to pay them for a full days work, some were ending up with 5hrs of breaks on a 10hr day so only getting half the wages.
