Car insurance, changing address

Hi everyone
I have recently changed my address. I was paying £80 a month for my car insurance. I called "Quinn direct" to inform them about my change of address. They said I have to £50 more each month, totally £140 a month.
Just for changing address they are charging me £50 more each month, which is ridiculous.
I wonder if anyone can help me to reduce this amount.
I appreciate your help

Your postcode is a highly influencing factor in premium calculation. If you move to lower risk area, your premium will go down (and vice versa).
You must have moved to a very dodgy area.Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.0 -

They are not charging you £50pm for just changing address. The admin charge is probably around £30 as a one off. The increase will mostly be because you have moved to a higher risk area and that increases the premium.
A move to a same risk postcode would see no change in premium. A move to a lower risk postcode would see a reduction. A move to a higher risk postcode sees an increase.I wonder if anyone can help me to reduce this amount.
Move house to a lower risk area!I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. What's the first part of your old postcode? ie DG16
What's the first part of your new postcode? ie CW10
