in Credit cards
When I try to log into my Intelligent Finance Credit card, I get past user name and password and security question, then I get the message 'Due to an unexpected error, we are unable to service your account online at this time. Please contact Customer services for details'.
Has anyone else had this problem or is it just me?

Sorry to bump an old thread but I'm having this exact same problem with the same error message.
I tried entering a wrong password and security question and it gives a totally different error message. I phoned IF, and they don't know what is wrong either.
Did you ever manage to solve your problem?0 -
Have you asked them if there is a security block on the card at all?0

I didn't ask that exact question, but my username; password and security question was "clear with no blocked restrictions". I spoke to customer services (as I needed to make a payment) as well as their internet/website department, I would hope they would have mentioned if there was a problem with my card as we spoke about other stuff on my account for quite some time.
It's quite a pain as IF don't take card payments over the phone, only if you've got a Halifax account.0 -
Yes, I did get it sorted eventually. I spoke to their customer services a couple of times and they tried resetting everything but it wasn't working. I even wound up giving them my security details :eek: because they couldn't figure out what was wrong and wanted to see what I was seeing.
Eventually the lady passed it on to the IT department and then the next morning I could access everything again.
I was having kittens all night thinking that she was shopping on my credit card _pale_ but promptly changed all information when I got in the next morning.
Since then I've not had any problems."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0
