Hotels in Istanbul

Hi,

Planning to be in Istabul with family; 5 of us. Can any one suggest good 4/5 star hotels and the best way to get good prices?

thx

  • Hi,
when I was in Istanbul I stayed at the Hotel Romance, a quiet 4 star hotel that has been completely renovated short before I was there. it's very central located, near the gran bazaar and the old train station (terminal of the orient express train), the rooms were clean and comfortable. I just checked on expedia and the prices are convenient.

check out a place called Sobzir Royal residence, it is located in Uskudar which is in the Asian part of Istanbul, you simply catch the boat to the more commercial European side for taksim etc.

This place ws built about 4 yearsd ago and is unbelievable, jas its own swimming pool and is very friendly etc.

The sea view was just amazing and 5 star.

I think we went through http://secure.bookinturkey.com/default_en.asp

they were helpful at the time as the hotel wasnt on their site but we got a great rate after they spoke to them.

I'd recommend doing a search on venere.com - really helpful website with lots of good maps/reviews, and reasonable prices too (which you also don't have to pay in advance)
Plus for 4% off, use code: BK5HX8W

    Hope that helps

Dont want to sound awful here but is that the only website you have ever heard of?as it seems to be the only response you ever give people. Most of your posts include the same answer that you have copied and pasted, surely you must know of others that are equally as good or better.
It just seems like you put no thought into your replies and just keep repeating yourself.I know all of us have our favourites etc which we like to share with others but not all the time and repeatedly.
Sorry if this sounds harsh, dont mean to at all

    thx for help
  • I have recently been staying for work at the Moevenpick which is a very nice hotel, I think they have recently been doing 3 nights for the price of two. I paid $150 per night. This is more in the business district but is located near the Kanyon shopping centre which is very stylish. Some colleagues have recently been staying at the Conrad (part of Hilton group) and rate that quite highly I thin k it is about $175 per night- it is closer to the Bosphorous and the action in town. Taxis are dirt cheap and food very good. Enjoy
