Is this buyer trying something on?

Postage is set at £5 for SPECIAL DELIVERY it will cover me for lost/stolen/item not sent/item not recieved and he wants me to change it, to second class, and said he wants to pay £1.76 postage with no special delivery.

Since the cost of goods is around £160 i don't think i should send it second class unregistered, do you? And would you?

Plus he is registered in America and now told me he is in London - this sound like hes trying something on here?

Whats the best course of action here he won't seem to listen to me when i say it will go SPECIAL DELIVERY.

Tell him as per your listing special delivery is the only option. Where are you sending it to the US or London. If you have to send it to the US you will need to use a courier as no RM service guarantees tracking.

Also if they have a London address make sure Paypal say it's OK to send to.

Probably London. What would you do in this situation? Send untracked knowing it could go missing? Or what? but he has great feedback too - i'm at a loss here of what to do i just dont want them going missing or saying not received as that will leave me with no proof at all.

Personally if it was me, as stated above I would definitely send it tracked, as was stated in your listing. 160 big ones is hell of a lot of money to be playing around with. He may well be genuine but i would definitely cover my own backside. Sorry I cant be of any more help to you.

When a buyer bids they are agreeing to your postal prices as well.

If they refuse to pay open an NPB after 4 days

Stick to your guns special delivery to a confirmed paypal address

I think i will yes. I'm also going to change the settings which allow buyers to adjust post costs just in case.

Seems very odd to me. Why is someone quibbling about 3 pounds in 160?

Only send it insured and tracked as per your listing.

It is odd, hes been outbid can i block him from re bidding? Would like a speedy answer to this as he may bid again, auction ends soon.

I have been selling high priced items recently and have sent all special delivery and not one person has come back about sending a cheaper way.

Also if going through paypal make sure the delivery address is confirmed because if you go ahead and the buyer disputes receiving it you will not be covered under the sellers protection scheme.

Absolutely no way send it without tracking. And yes you can still block him, the link is here:

I would also cancel his previous bids just in case there were other bid retractions.
