Where can I get lists of results of recent Car Auctions in the South East, North London area, I would like to get an idea of what prices are being achieved for what types of cars.

Also what cars are selling best in the car trade at the moment, my thoughts are diesels, Ford, Vauxhall etc.

Any help appreciated.

You need to attend the auction to get the results, they are not published. I guess car traders would not be too happy with the general public knowing exactly how much they paid for the car, I'm sure it prove a very useful negotiating tool.

Alternatively, you can telephone BCA and they will give you guide prices for upcoming cars, which in my limited experience are relatively accurate.

Complete waste of time getting results. One week they can be high, the next low.

You need to go to the auction a few times before buying, simples.

There is a very good reason why traders go to the auction every week, it isn't to just buy cars, it is to stay up to date on what is happening in the trade.

The used car game is a bit more complicated than some may think.

Some traders buy at one auction and take the car to another auction to sell, an example would be 4x4's from Scotland that they then sell on in the South East where demand and therefore prices are higher.
