AA/RAC Question
I've been told that if you opt not to have the 'At Home Cover' then it's something that you can ring up on the day at purchase if you should need it? Is that right does anyone know? Does it cost more to purchase it on the day than if I was to purchase it now for the year?
Thanks
Thanks

Yes, it may be possible to upgrade at the time of a breakdown. However: you will still need to pay the full year's upgrade price regardless of when you upgrade (ie, it is not pro-ratad if you upgrade, say, after six months), you will need to pay a surcharge as well as the At Home price so it will be more expensive, and if you try to upgrade on a day when the breakdown service is particularly busy, they may refuse to upgrade to allow them to concentrate on their existing covered customers.
On the other hand, if you do not break down at home at all during the year, you will have saved the price of the upgrade.
