Is there a better web-based calendar than Google?

I have recently bought an Orange San Francisco and am trying to use Google Calendar synced on phone and laptop. The problem is that entries keep disappearing. Sometimes entries are visible on phone but not laptop and vice versa. Other entries which I have deleted keep coming back - sometimes they never go away at all.
I've used a Palm for years and found it easy and reliable, but Google is driving me mad. Can anybody recommend a calendar which is reliable and easy to sync.

Why does it have to be online? Windows Live Mail?0

Maybe it doesn't have to be online. I just want to be able to access my calendar on my laptop and my phone and keept the 2 in sync - I'll investigate your suggestion. Thanks.0

if your phone supports setting up an exchange account and you have (or create) a hotmail email account, then you can set it up to sync using this method, and that will sync your calendar (and also email and contacts if you want to)
then if you install windows live mail on your computer, and add that hotmail address, all the email contacts and calendar will be synced on your computer.
therefore if you add a calendar/contact anywhere (on the computer on the phone or on the web) the other places will update automatically at their next send/recieve.
although I dont know why gmail/calendar isnt working for you, but hotmail is another option.
also if you dont want to use live mail and have outlook you can use Outlook Connector Pack (part of live essentials)to have hotmail sync with outlook0 -
I don't have a SanFran but I have a desire, and use MyPhoneExplorer to sync mine with Thunderbird/Lightning , it also works with Outlook . It is free from Android Market and fjsoft.at It works over wifi or Usb, and I think it does work with Sanfran too, just an option......4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex .
