EDF Economy 7 anyone?

Hi all. Ive recently had strage heaters installed so have had to have the meter exchanged to eco7. Not having much luck getting through to edf customer services to get some one to roughly explain to me how it all works (gave up being on hold after 45 mins).
Basically I have some questions, if anyone could help it would be ost appreciated!

1) How do I update the time on the meter? Since the clocks changed on Sun it's still showing the time an hour behind.

2) Is rate 1 (or R1 as it says on the meter) the daytime rate or night time? Ive been getting conflicting info from Google!

3) Apart from hearing the "click" or looking at the time, how else would I know the the meter has switched to off peak? I dont know why but I have a horrible feeling that im being charged the day rate all the time.

Sorry if it seems like im rambling, any help would be greatly recieved.
Thanks!

You don't adjust the times. You get the low rate for 7 hours a day, and hopefully your storage heaters were wired in to only come on at times the low rate is supplied.

Look at your meter and see which registry is recording.
There is not standard answer, hence why you find conflicting advice.

Look at the registries and see which one is recording at certain times.

If you think all is being recorded on one rate, simply take both readings one day and check them the next. If one registry fails to move, you are probably correct.
