Hey im 18, have a full driving liscense but cannot afford to run a car, i was wondering if anyone could help me by giving me a rough price of insurance for a 50cc moped and the best place to go for it. also if anyone knows if i can get a bigger cc bike on my full driving liscence without taking a bigger cc test, any information would be much appreciated thankyou liam.

everything you need to know is here

my stepson was going to get a moped (50cc) but got a 125 yamaha instead second hand i would try them both especially if you plan to be using the bike a lot
My stepson paid 211 for the bike insurance through LEXAM just third party as it wasnt worth fully comp or even fire and theft due to the
excess that they wanted
Also be aware that there are a lot of imported bikes as well So do your research on the sort of bike that you want and what you will be using it for
also dont forget to get good protective clothing to wear as wellHey im 18, have a full driving liscense but cannot afford to run a car, i was wondering if anyone could help me by giving me a rough price of insurance for a 50cc moped and the best place to go for it. also if anyone knows if i can get a bigger cc bike on my full driving liscence without taking a bigger cc test, any information would be much appreciated thankyou liam.0 -
In some areas there is a bike hire scheme - inclides CBT, Insurance, Maintenance etc...
The link is for our local scheme and is £22 a week... http://www.devonwheels2work.co.uk/ I don't know if that would be suitable for you? If you're at college rather than working, it's cheaper again
You can ride up to 125cc on CBT, and you can do your proper test any time 17+ I think you're restricted on bike size until you're 21, but check with DVLA/Bike training centre x0
