hi,
our mortgage appplication is going through fine i sent what they requested (bank statment showing wages paid in and mortgage coming out)
our credit score rating was very good (according to financial advisor) today they have taken the valuation fee and arrangement fee (paid with debit card) and i have rang bank to order statements for 25th feb until 25th march.....
my overdraft is 400 and during this period i went over it by £1 which i put back in the following day, should I worry about this? it's very rare i go over my limit and we have also been saving £600 per month

can anyone put my mind at rest while i wait a few days for the damned statements to come in the post?0

Yep. I was in my overdraft for 2 of the 3 months of statements I provided to the mortgage company and no problem. I guess they look at money in/out - I was paying off a car I bought in cash so took me 3 or 4 months to get to 0. We only have a 15% deposit so I was worried too.0

for £1 for one day the mortgage company will not penalise you solely for this0

when you say in your overdraft i take it you didn't go over the agreed limit? i have but only by a £1:o yes my fault but as i said i rectified immediately and we have been saving quite a bit every month0 -
oh no - my over draft is massive £2k. What a pain - did you get charged? Some banks operate a 'buffer zone' where you don't get charged if it's only a bit so I guess they wouldn't register it as a late payment. Is it worth popping in or calling the bank to check their policy? Anything for peace of mind!0

Don't be so sure. The underwriters at the bank I work for actually did just that for a mortgage application that had been approved by the system at point of sale. It took me to appeal to someone's common sense and overturn the decline.0
