Advice on Aldi Camcorder Please

Aldi have a 5MP Camcorder for sale at £54.99 this Thursday.

    it's going to be more of a toy than a proper camera, and I very much doubt its actually HD - can't verify that as the tech specs won't load.

    You'll be looking at the same level of quality as a good phone. Guess it depends what you want it for.

    probably worth working out what you will use the camera for first, then deciding which camera to buy.

    If it was just an impulse buy, then Martin will be along shortly to tell you off ;)

    I would check on www.hotukdeals.com, as this was popular awhile back. The deal would have been posted a few times, so do a search and read the discussion. From memory, people who used it said that it did a decent job for the price (I think it was cheaper last time).

    Edit: I couldn't find it, but it was a long time ago so I didn't search hard :p

    the TA1 is a better camera if nothing else because of the resolutions offered. Panasonic lenses are also top notch.

    I will probably not get one as it is just an impulse buy sorry Martin :money:

    I have got the Traveler Digital Camera with 10mp and 6x optical zoom it is also a video camera.

    It's a few years old but still works just fine now I have bought new batteries.:D
