Bank Coin Counting Machines

Does anyone know if there are any banks that still have coin counting machines for paying small change into your account, and indeed if these are still free to use? I believe HSBC and Barclays used to have them at a handful of their branches, but I haven't seen any for years.
The ones in Supermarkets charge silly percentages!
Thanks.

I think there's one at my NatWest branch. It also takes notes and cheques but I presume you could just pay in coins on their own.ISA savings: £25,139 Other Savings: £1750 (tied up in bond)0

I think it might help you tell us which area you are based and which bank you are refering too.

There're are lists elsewhere on this forum of branches with them. I don't think any of the ex-building socs have them nor Lloyds TSB, but most of the other banks have them. They tend to be in their largest branches.0

My branch of Barclays definitely has one (Leicester city centre) but no idea where else has them..*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200

They are spreading but are by no means universal even in the banks that have them0

They seem to be in the largest branches that have recently been refurbished.0

Thanks for all the replies, everyone!
Sounds like they are still around, but far from commonplace.
As someone pointed out in another thread somewhere, they probably deliberately don't publicise this facility too widely or they'll start being overwhelmed with change :-)0
