Can anybody tell me what I need to ask for when applying for holiday insurance?
I am going on my honeymoon to the Maldives and I would like to protect myself before and during the holiday.

I asked Virgin if they covered me for things like the ash cloud situation and they said "we didn't but we have a new provider who will review your claim" They couldn't tell me if they could pay out - just review the claim?

I am going with First Choice holidays and they are ABTA registered but once wha does this mean?

1) What quiestion do I need to ask for full cover?
2)When Should i apply for this insurance?
3) What does abta mean?
4) what insurances do the travel agent have?

I'm completely confused with the whole situation, please help?

Not sure what you mean by "full cover". You need to read any policy you are considering to ensure it provides the cover you want.

You should take out insurance as soon as any travel is booked to ensure you have cancellation cover for any insurable reason.

ABTA = Association of British Travel Agents

You will get better cover for less money direct with an insurance company rather than through a travel agent.

Direct Travel has Catastrophe cover as an option. You would need to ask any insurer if they provide cover or not.
