I have been asking myself the same question. Though I'm actually older lol. Turned 33 this past March. Worked as a graphic designer which hasn't worked out, and also worked in customer service but still haven't found a place I can call a career 3 years or more of experience into it.0

I used to work for BAE Systems and if my memory serves me correctly, I'm sure they offered "Adult" apprenticeships......
Not sure if this is the norm in other industries tho?0 -
It is, especially in the more 'traditional' apprentice industries.
I assume you were on engineering, possibly aeronautical?0 -

The interview was going pretty well and near the end he asked me how old I was. I told him I was 20 and he said I wasn't eligible for government funding so I got rejected straight. The pay was £2.50 per hour which seems low. It was for a website design company based in Birmingham City Centre.
The training provider will get 50% of the funding for you doing an apprenticeship. The company will only have to pay a minimal management fee for it, around £150.0
