Post Office Insurance - No £50 Cash Back

I took out car insurance with the Post Office at the beginning of September. They were offering £50 cashback, which made it a good deal. I have still not received it.

I see elsewhere on the board that some people have received 2 lots of cashback - what's the betting that one of them is mine!

What has really pi55ed me off though is that their poor CS. I emailed them via the contact form on their website at the end of October and received a fairly prompt response from them stating
To enable me to complete my enquiries I would need your full postal address.
I replied immediately, with my address. I heard nothing more so I sent a follow up email last week, again giving my address. Still nothing.

I shall give them a ring on Monday (if I remember) and cancel the insurance if they do not sort it out.

I don't expect to gain anything by posting here but I figure the least I can do is give them some bad publicity.

However, would other posters note that I did not give this post an emotive Sun headline style title like "PO Cashback scam" or "Post Office LIED to me!!!!". It really is annoying.

I hope you get on better with their rubbish CS than I have. I too went through the emailing system, total waste of time, gave up on that and put my complaint in writing. (not about the £50 btw) After almost 3 months of receiving letters telling me they were busy investigating, they sent a letter neatly avoiding answering the complaint, hoping that this now 'resolves the situation'. I replied that it had not, and I'm still waiting. Heaven forbid how they would cope with an actual claim!
