3 months to DFD - is this the hardest part?

Hi all
Haven't posted here since early February - had managed 6 NSDs for February and was going along happily until I suddenly became a little bit poorly . However, I'm back fighting fit and after the end of this month, I have only 3 months to go until I'm debt free :j.
My question is, is the last few months the hardest of all? I've found that recently, as I've been getting closer to my DFD that it's driving me mad! Does anyone have any tips for getting through the final slog?
I have to say, I would never have got to this stage without this forum and that's thanks to the great support and advice to be found here. Thanks guys and gals :T.

Hey WP how utterly fab that ur almost there  finishing line is in sight now!
I don't think its the hardest bit (my DFD was 25.10.10) - the absolute hardest was just over a year in with about another 2 to go (ended up being less but at the time that was our prediction...). However the last few months it got a little trickier because I think I got a little complacent, wasn't quite a strict as before and also we had a stock pile of things we needed but had put off - literally for years! I actually posted a thread worried that I might be going down a bad route but someone told its called de-mob happy!
I didn't have to worry, and despite getting a few bigger items - mattress, laptop, its been fab no longer having any debts.
So happy for you! :dance:DF as at 30/12/16

Thanks for that- I think the demob happy bit is exactly what I'm feeling - I can hardly wait to see the last of it gone and I know it will never come again because I'm a changed Wee Pilsbury now :j.
I need to do one or two things in the house -new electric shower here I come- and I'm going to really enjoy paying in cash!
Cheers for your happy thoughts!DFW Nerd Club # 13640 -

I'm with you I hope to be debt free in the next couple of weeks however it's not coming quick enough. I keep spending though because I can see the end in site which I wouldn't have done before.0

A couple of more years won't be too long - my old nan used to say that the years get faster the older you get and I think she's right - i must be getting old .
Keep going - even though I'm only almost there I can't describe how happy I am (apart from demob happy)

It only feels this hard because you are so near the finishing line, once you cross it, the feeling will be wonderful. Just keep telling yourself that the amount you have paid is considerably more than the current balance and you have done a great job and deserve a huge pat on the back.
The feeling I had when my I made my last payment was so immense and I am still on a high 5 months later!
Well done on getting to the finishing strait.A smile costs little but creates much0 -

I feel your pain. Seriously, I would have done the same had I not been a bit under the weather. I'm planning on joining a few of the April challenges just to help push me over the finishing line :j.
Good luck!DFW Nerd Club # 13640 -

That's funny, I was on my spreadsheets again today (:D) and had a look back at what I owed this time last year. That was an eye-opener as I've paid back sooooooooooo much - it made me feel much cheerier and able to get stuck into the last wee bit.
Cheers for the happy vibes and well done you :TDFW Nerd Club # 13640
