Bank Charges for Deceased Partner

My Husband passed away three weeks ago. We had a Joint Current Account with an authorised overdraft of £2000. Now I have no income and The Abbey National not only want the £2000 overdraft but also are demanding I also pay charges on top of the overdraft. Then this will exceed the authorised limit and I will have to pay an even bigger charge. HELP!!
