Hello,
I wasnt sure if this should go here or somewhere else.
Basically I'm seperating from my OH which is a bit of
and a bit of
but I have a bank loan that I'm barely making min payments on. We rent so dont have to worry about a house. But my parents have offered to pay off my bank loan to give me some breathing space. At the moment things are hard with my OH but still as amicable as they can be. If things turned nasty would they have any claim on the money from my parents? We are/were married so I dont want to be paying out more on it then I need to if things do go that way.
Thanks.

If you want the correct answer perhaps you should put down the correct information ie are you married - still? or were you married and now divorced? The we are/ were married is confusing as whether you are divorced or married will mean the reply to your question will be completely different!
I'm assuming the bank loan is in your name only? To pay for things for you only or both of you? The money from your parents would repay the loan? ie you wouldn't have the money in your account?LBM: August 2006 £12,568.49 - DFD 22nd March 2012
