Online banking agreement

During my previous employment I signed an agreement with the company bank to be the primary user of online banking services. I would like to obtain a copy of the agreement I signed with the bank but they are refusing to let me have this as I am "no longer authorised to conduct company business"
Can the bank legally refuse to let me have a copy of the agreement I signed? How should I progress with this?

Why would you need it?
As you don't work there any more, it isn't an account you are authorised to deal with, so I would tend to agree with the bank0 -
He has the right to ask for the agreement if he has signed it even though he has left.0
-
He signed it in his capacity of employment.
I signed a lot of things in my prev employment, but I am pretty sure they wouldnt be happy if I wanted them now!0 -
A copy of the agreement is required for use in an Employment Tribunal. I need to prove I was not authorised to share my login details with another employee.0

Obviously you do not understand. He had sole access to the online banking of his previous employer.Legally he is entitled to any agreement he signed especially if it is maybe needed to cover against any mis-use of company finances.
IT IS A BANK DOCUMENT BETWEEN THE BANK ,HIS COMPANY AND HIMSELF WHICH ALL PARTIES SHOULD HAVE A COPY OF.0 -
Nexus, you are correct. I need a copy of the actual agreement I signed.
Should I pursue the bank under Freedom of Infromation legislation?0 -
To be honest i think the bank would have originally sent 2 copies to your employer and they should have given you one of them.Ask your previous employer for a copy in writing and send via recorded or special delivery.Do not ask on the phone as they will deny you ever asked.0

Maybe I'm missing something here but how would getting a copy of the agreement show you did not share the details? It may well show that under the terms of the agreement you are not allowed to disclose the details to anyone else. But that doesn't mean you didn't just say to someone - here are my login details.
It's the same as your own bank account, the T&Cs say you musn't divulge your PIN to anyone but people do.
Perhaps it's the other way round, the company wanted you to disclose the information to someone else and you refused?
Edit: Forgot the key bit - you can write to the bank under the DPA and ask for a copy - there will be a fee, no more than £100 -
Tizerbelle, you got it right in the end, "the company wanted you to disclose the information to someone else and you refused?"
I was then sacked for not cooperating with the demands of the MD!0 -
Only government is subject to Freedom of Information requests.
The correct means to get the agreement is to ask the employer for it under the 'discovery' procedure. If they swear blind they do not have it, then as part of the pre trial proceedings, I think you could have the employer give authority to the bank to release the document to you. but you need some professional advice here.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
