You must need a wheel-barrow to carry around a 6D Torch.
Must check out costco - think I've got a card somewhere, but don't they also charge you VAT?
Plus you need to get there!
Nice to get it delivered next day from the comfort of your armchair!
True, but a 6D held by the bulb end gives you a very nice edge in a dodgy situation !

I 've done a search for led upgrade bulb and found one for £9.70 on ebay express http://item.express.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ExpressItem&item=230049537219&FROM_MERCHANDISING=1 which looks promising.0

Got mine this morning! Cheers OP

I did some reading and using an LED in these torches gives a regulated light output for abit longer than the standard bulb which drops off steadily.
Hi-ho, hi-ho, off to ebay I go!0 -

Used the same one myself! Couldn't turn down the free delivery
There was another seller with the bulb at the £5.50 mark but fancied the recorded delivery from this seller who looked more legit. 0 -

Has anyone got this yet? I was gonna buy but i've had a look at the Nite Ize site and found that the bulb in question is a standard 10mm white led in a bulb casing. Is it any good?

Only ordered mine today.
They have to use the old casing,or else it wont fit into the actual holder

The official Maglite LED upgrade is a standard bulb shaped unit with an LED too and a basic bit of circuitry. This allows for simple drop in upgrade.
I went for this as Nite Ize make quite a few accessories for the Maglite and didn't fancy paying over £20 for the official LED upgrade
[EDIT] Here is a review of the official Maglite LED/ LED Torch along with a picture of the bulb http://www.flashlightreviews.com/reviews/maglite_mag-led.htm0 -

Ohhhhhh Dear - I'm aware of that, I did study Electronic and Electrical engineering for 2 years! lol
No, I was meaning I would have thought that it would have been a 1 or 3w Luxeon Unit similar to these:

If it's just a standard 10mm LED, I can just make my own using components I have in front of me costing around 30p!0
