Will my UK Xbox 360 work in France?

I would like to buy a Xbox 360 in the UK and offer it to someone in France. Will it work? Do I need a special power adapter for France or does it come in the box? Anything else that could cause problems?
Thanks in advance!

I think France uses a different plug; if the Xbox has a standard kettle lead then you can just buy a new one... the voltage should be the same.
As for TVs, the French had to be different and have their own TV standard; I don't know whether a PAL Xbox will work. If there's a SECAM option in the Xbox menus you should be OK, otherwise a French TV may accept PAL input.0 -
Yes, all of europe uses the same power supply so it is just a case of changing the plug/ lead or just use an adaptor.
They will need to check if their TV can accept a PAL signal or you need to check if the xbox can be changed to output SECAMAll posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers

I think I'm right in saying French TVs accept PAL as well as SECAM as standard. Certainly all modern tvs would be multi-standard."...IT'S FRUITY!"0

Many are as it is simpler to manufacture a TV to accept a range of sources so if you have surplus stock in one country it is a simple case to sell it in another - hence multilingual manuals etc but that isnt to say that all areAll posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers
